Careers Advisor - Further Education | Slough & Langley | Up to £25/hour | Long-Term Temp

We are currently recruiting for a passionate and qualified Careers Advisor to join a leading Further Education (FE) college in Slough. This is a long-term temporary role with the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students by supporting their personal and professional development.

Role Details:
Job Title: Careers Advisor
Location: Slough & Langley campuses
Contract Type: Long-term temporary (minimum one full term)
Working Hours: Full-time preferred, part-time considered
Hourly Rate: Up to £25/hour (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Start Date: ASAP
Working Arrangement: Onsite (TBC)Key Responsibilities:

Support learners in identifying progression routes, including further study, apprenticeships, and employment
Deliver one-to-one and group careers guidance to students
Maintain up-to-date records and track student progress
Collaborate with teaching and support staff to promote careers education across the college
Ensure advice and support aligns with current labour market information and industry expectationsRequirements:
Level 6 qualification in Careers Guidance (or equivalent) - essential
Previous experience in a careers advisory role, ideally within an FE or education setting
Strong understanding of progression pathways and student support services
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
A proactive, student-focused approach
