Principal Contractor | Small but Growing Team | Multi-Sector Projects

We're working with a growing Principal Contractor based in York who are looking to appoint either an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor, or a Quantity Surveyor ready to step up into a more senior role.

With around five years in operation, this business has developed a strong reputation delivering high-quality projects across the retail, hospitality, education, and commercial sectors. Their workload covers a range of fit-out, construction, and services projects, and they're now looking to strengthen their commercial team as part of their next growth phase.

What You'll Be Doing:

Managing the full commercial lifecycle of multiple live projects

*

Overseeing cost planning, valuations, variations, and final accounts

*

Supporting project teams to ensure jobs are delivered within budget

*

Contributing to the wider growth of the business, with the potential to mentor an assistant QS in 2025

What They're Looking For:

Experience in a Quantity Surveyor role (or already operating at Senior level)

*

Confident managing diverse projects across fit-out, build, and services

*

Able to handle multiple projects at once with strong commercial awareness

*

A real team player - collaboration and communication are key in this tight-knit setup

Comfortable in a fast-paced, growing business where your role can evolve
