We are looking for a Sales Engineer to work on a permanent basis near Ashton Under Lyne.

Our client is a well known Aerospace Manufacturer. They are ideally seeking someone from an Aerospace or similar engineering background.

Salary is c£32-38,000 per annum plus 25 days' holiday and bank hoidays, excellent pension, healthcare etc.

Duties for the Sales Engineer:

Working as part of a busy office that covers Sales, Projects, Engineering, Quality and Management, working on high profile order books for the worlds leading OEM's.

The role will be working as part of the Sales team

Duties will include:

* Understanding customer requirements

* Interpretating different customers engineering data

* Breaking down customers engineering data to understand what is required to manufacture and establish the manufacturing discipline(s) required

* Contact with external suppliers where required and expediting when necessary

* Tracking customer enquiries and progress through CRM system

* Collating individual costs into a deliverable price to customer

* Creating submission documents for customers

Person Specification:

* Commercially astute

* Work as part of a busy customer facing sales team

* Engineering background, ability to read an engineering drawing

* Can do approach to work

* Excellent communications skills

* Have an organised approach to work

* Have a good team working ethic, be pro-active and motivated

* IT literate, with skills in the Microsoft suite of software, in particular Excel

* Excellent attention to detail

The role is office based, fast paced, very varied with lots of opportunities to develop.

Full training will be provided.
