Support Worker - Criminal Justice

Location: Taunton, with travel across nearby areas
Salary: £25,685 per year
Hours: 37.5 per week

Our client is looking for a dedicated and motivated Support Worker to join their Criminal Justice service based in Taunton. This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with complex needs, supporting them to build stability, independence, and safer futures.

You'll work closely with criminal justice partners and a range of external agencies to ensure each client receives high‑quality, personalised support tailored to their circumstances.

What We're Looking For

Candidates will need:

* A valid UK driving licence and use of a vehicle for work (business insurance required)
* Experience supporting vulnerable adults or individuals with complex needs and challenging behaviours
* Willingness to participate in an out‑of‑hours on‑call rota

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

Build strong, effective working relationships with external partners, including criminal justice services
Carry out thorough needs and risk assessments to produce tailored, client‑centred support plans
Provide clear advice, guidance, and practical support, enabling clients to access essential services and accommodation
Support new clients entering the service, ensuring they fully understand their rights, responsibilities, and licence conditions
Work collaboratively with colleagues and partner agencies to promote positive outcomes and long‑term stability
