Wireman (Electrician) - Substation Works
Location: Coventry
Rate: £330 per day
Contract: Ongoing
We are currently seeking experienced Wiremen (Electricians) to work on a substation project in Coventry. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing team delivering critical electrical infrastructure works.
Key Responsibilities- Install, terminate, and test LV, control, protection, and instrumentation cabling
- Interpret wiring diagrams and engineering drawings to deliver accurate installations
- Carry out glanding, crimping, wiring, and testing of panels and field equipment
- Support commissioning engineers during functional and pre-commissioning tests
- Ensure full compliance with NGED and project-specific safety protocols
- Maintain accurate documentation, including cable schedules and test records
- Work safely in line with CDM regulations and company HSE policies
- Contribute to a high-performance culture focused on quality, safety, and reliability
Requirements- Proven experience as a Wireman / Electrician within substation or similar industrial environments
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
- Strong understanding of installation and testing procedures
- Commitment to health & safety standards on site
