Support Worker (Children) - Location: Greater Manchester

We are seeking a compassionate Support Worker to provide care and support primarily to children and young people within the Greater Manchester community. This role involves attending to the physical and emotional needs of children in their homes, adhering to individual care plans. This position is ideal for someone passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children and young people in their own environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Provide attentive care to children and young people, addressing both their physical and emotional needs in their home environment.
- Follow detailed care plans tailored to each individual's specific needs.
- Maintain a safe and nurturing environment for the children and young people.
- Monitor and report any changes in the conditions of children and young people to relevant professionals.
- Ensure all interactions and activities are conducted in a respectful and professional manner, adhering to all safeguarding protocols.
- Travel between homes in the community, ensuring timely and efficient care delivery.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A minimum of 6 months care-related experience in the UK, preferably with children and young people.
- Must be able to provide references for the last 5 years of work.
- Strong awareness of safeguarding issues and protocols, especially related to children and young people.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with children, young people, and their families.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Empathetic and compassionate nature, with a commitment to providing high-quality care.
- An up-to-date DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service. If you need to apply for a new DBS, we can support you with this.
- Right to work in the UK.
