Company: RANDSTAD EDUCATION

Job Type: Temporary, Full Time

Salary: £120 - £170/day

Are you an experienced lower KS1 or EYFS teacher? Perhaps it is a specialist area of yours? Are you seeking work from January 2024 in the Fleetwood area and keen to enter a new setting? If so, we are looking for you!

We are currently recruiting for lower KS1 teachers to support at a variety of posts in the Fleetwood, FY7 areas. These posts are a mixture of short and long term roles extending for as long as 2-3 terms from September, term time only. Short term posts start from £120+ per day based on experience, rates of pay for long term roles are negotiable.

To be successful you must have the ability to expand on pupils' foundation knowledge of phonics, supporting pupil development of spelling rules and how to sound out and blend to aid them with their reading and writing. The ability to implement the 100 square to help with their adding and subtracting. Number bonds will also be reinforced and they will learn to count forwards, backwards, in 2s, 5s, 10s, 20s, and they will double and halve. Again, always learning in a fun and engaging way. Outside of maths and English you will need to expose the children to new subject content such as history, geography, P.e and art.

We are looking for someone with the ability or experience of supporting pupil transition from Reception to Y1 in September with an understanding of the early years framework and year 1 curriculum to support any variation in pupils abilities. Some pupils may still be working at a EYFS level. An understanding or experience of mixed needs of SEN will also be valuable as classes will be varied in ability including special needs. TA support will be present and in some cases, 1:1 support, however as class teacher you will still be required to plan and support the development of all pupils.

If you are looking for a flexible commitment on an adhoc basis with no planning or preparation responsibilities or the opposite and seeking a full teaching post, then I would love to hear from you. Candidates will be matched to posts based on their suitability and preferences.
