Senior Geotechnical Engineer Location: LondonSalary: £45,000 - £50,000

A leading ground and structural investigation contractor is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join their London-based team, taking a key role in the delivery of complex ground engineering projects across the UK.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys a mix of technical input, client engagement, and project management, and is looking to take ownership of schemes from tender through to completion.

The Role

You will act as both a technical lead and project manager, overseeing geotechnical works on a variety of infrastructure and construction projects. Responsibilities will include:

• Managing geotechnical projects from feasibility through to delivery
• Acting as the main point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders
• Overseeing ground investigations, earthworks, and foundation design
• Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers
• Preparing and reviewing risk assessments, method statements, and technical reports
• Supporting tendering and commercial activities, including cost control and programme management
• Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to high safety standards

Requirements

• Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related discipline
• 5+ years' experience in geotechnical engineering, ideally within a contractor or consultancy environment
• Strong understanding of ground investigation techniques and geotechnical design
• Experience managing projects and liaising directly with clients
• Knowledge of UK standards and regulations
• Working towards or achieved Chartered status (ICE or equivalent)
