Cloud Automation Test EngineerLocation: Primarily remote with 1 day per month in London (travel self-funded) Package: £63,000 base + 10% lifestyle allowance + 12-15% bonus + 30 days holiday + 10% pensionAbout the RoleWe're partnering with a leading fintech client to hire a Cloud Quality Engineer with technical expertise in automation and a data-driven approach to quality engineering. This is an exciting opportunity to build a new automation framework from the ground up, shaping how quality assurance and automation are delivered across their platforms.You'll be collaborating closely with the QA team and DevOps engineers, driving forward best practices and ensuring scalability, reliability, and high-quality product delivery in a dynamic fintech environment.Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement a cloud-first automation test framework from scratch using Python, Selenium, and Appium.
- Drive data-driven quality engineering practices, ensuring test coverage and frequent insights into product releases.
- Work directly with AWS services, including CloudWatch, to monitor and validate deployments.
- Define and maintain automation practices within CI/CD pipelines, supporting seamless integration and deployment processes.
- Manage and validate artefacts across the release lifecycle.
- Collaborate closely with QA colleagues and DevOps teams to drive best-in-class quality engineering practices across fintech platforms.
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven, hands-on experience building automation and quality engineering solutions (not just team exposure).
- Expertise in Python with applied experience in Selenium and Appium.
- Strong understanding of AWS environments, particularly CloudWatch, and confident with YAML configurations.
- Exposure to testing CI/CD pipelines and artefact management.
- A data-driven mindset, delivering insights back to stakeholders.
- Prior experience within the fintech space (highly desirable).
