We're working on behalf of a respected residential developer to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their Building Safety team based in Essex.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a specialist team focused on building safety and remediation works across a range of residential developments. The successful candidate will play a key role in estimating, tendering, contract administration, and valuations, contributing to the successful commercial delivery of safety-critical projects.

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare detailed cost estimates for cladding remediation and other building safety works

* Manage the tender process, including issuing and evaluating subcontractor packages

* Administer contracts in line with JCT and other relevant forms

* Conduct monthly valuations, cost reporting, and final accounts

* Collaborate with project teams, site managers, and external consultants

* Ensure compliance with current building safety legislation and internal policies

The Ideal Candidate:

* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally with a residential or main contractor background

* Strong knowledge of estimating, tendering, and contract management

* Experience in building safety or cladding remediation projects is a significant advantage

* Excellent commercial awareness and communication skills

* Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying (degree-level preferred), RICS accreditation desirable
