Mechanical Inspector

Salary: £18.00 per hour
Location: 10-minute drive from Uxbridge / 40 minutes via public transport
Hours: Mon-Thurs 08:00-17:00 / Fri 08:00-12:00 (37 hours per week)
Overtime: Paid at 1.5x basic rate (5-10 hours per week available)

Mechanical Inspector Responsibilities:

Inspecting machined and goods-in components using hand tools (verniers, calipers, micrometers)

Interpreting engineering drawings and inspecting components to tight tolerances

Completing inspection documentation with a high level of accuracy

Recording data using SAP and documenting non-conformances

Working to aerospace standards and contributing to product quality

Mechanical Inspector Requirements:

Experience with PC-DMIS CMM programming and/or working with Hexagon Lazer Scanning Arm

Ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings

Skilled in using precision measuring equipment (verniers, calipers, micrometers)

Good understanding of GD&T and both metric and imperial measurement systems

Previous experience in Aerospace, Automotive, Motorsport, or Subcontract Manufacturing

CMM experience is beneficial but not essential
