Company Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Commercial Assistant with estimating and planning experience to progress their career with a leading flooring contractor, with offices located across England. To support continuing business growth the successful candidate will join the Planning & Estimating Team at their Head Office in Winsford.

Key Duties & Responsibilities for our Commercial Assistant:

The Commercial Assistant will work within the Planning & Estimating Team alongside the Commercial Manager and will be responsible for the following:

  • Tendering for new business using scaled drawings to create accurate and efficient plans which are translated into a pricing matrix
  • Planning efficiently from measurements or working drawings to produce cost-effective solutions and plans
  • Correctly issuing quotations to clients and customers for flooring and interiors

Essential Skills and Experience Required for our Commercial Assistant:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritising and multi-tasking effectively
  • Strong mathematical and planning skills
  • A strong analytical mind set with the ability to remain focused
  • Good organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Problem-solving skills, using your initiative to overcome obstacles
  • Confident communication skills and strong administration skills
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, in particular Excel
  • Knowledge of Masterpiece or equivalent software experience preferred

Schedule: This role is full time, Monday - Friday/37.75 hours per week with an immediate start date for the successful candidate
