We're working with a well-established engineering business in Leicester who are looking to add a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to their team.

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong mechanical skills and CNC machinery experience, looking for a stable, days-based role within a busy manufacturing environment.

The Role

You'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of CNC and specialist machinery, ensuring downtime is kept to a minimum and equipment is running efficiently.

Key responsibilities include:

Mechanical maintenance across CNC and specialist machinery
Repairs to gearboxes, bearings, shafts, chains, pumps and tanks
Responding to breakdowns and carrying out fault finding
Supporting planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules
Carrying out machinery refurbishment when required
Basic PLC fault finding and interrogation
Identifying faults and implementing effective solutions
Working in line with health & safety standards
Supporting across multiple company sites when required

What We're Looking For

HNC (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum 3 years' experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment
Strong experience working with CNC multi-axis machines
Knowledge of Fanuc and Siemens controls
Confident with fault finding and mechanical repairs
Up-to-date knowledge of engineering techniques and equipment
