HRGO Recruitment are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to join our client's 15th century country pub based in Hartfield. We are opening this opportunity to someone who is dedicated and can provide good quality food and service to all customers.

The Pub/Manor House offers a warm welcome, comfortable accommodation, and wonderful surroundings.

This role does offer staff accommodation if needed.

General Duties:

• To be first in command in the kitchen, creating and inspecting all dishes ensuring a high stand and quality.
• Control and direct all food preparation within the kitchen.
• Construct menus with new and exciting ideas to ensure variety and quality of products.
• Approving and polishing all dishes before they reach the customer.
• Hiring and onboarding of new staff following the Company Induction procedure.
• Complete all staff rotas and publish, giving staff a minimum of 48 notice.
• Coordinate with vendors and order supplies as needed.
• Ensure you and your teams' knowledge of the Menu and Allergens is up to date.
• Comply fully with all regulations relating to Health and Safety, employee conduct, hygiene, food handling, fire precautions, emergency procedures and COSHH regulations.
• Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the Kitchen, its fixtures, fittings, and equipment

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years' experience as Head Chef
• Food & Hygiene level 1 and 2 (Preferred not required)
• Ability to work in fast paced environments
• Manage in high pressured environments
