£26,000 - £28,000 per annum (pro rata)

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Accounts Payable Controller to join a busy and supportive finance team based in Manchester on a 6-month fixed term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented finance professional to play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the accounts payable function.

The Role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will take full responsibility for the end-to-end accounts payable process, ensuring invoices and payments are processed accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Processing high volumes of supplier invoices

*

Matching, batching, and coding invoices

*

Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies

*

Preparing and processing payment runs (BACS and cheques)

*

Managing supplier queries in a timely and professional manner

*

Supporting month-end close activities

*

Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation

*

Assisting with process improvements within the AP function

About You

*

Proven experience in an Accounts Payable role

*

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

*

Good working knowledge of Excel and accounting systems

*

Excellent communication and organisational skills

*

Ability to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines
