Transport Planner - Stretford - Up to £32,000

Our client who are Logistics company are looking for a Transport Planner to join their team in Trafford Park.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £29,000.00 - £32,000.00 per year

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM

AM/PM Holiday Shift Cover:

Early: 5:30 AM - 2:00 PM

Late: 12:30 PM - 9:00 PM

Occasional Saturday mornings (paid as overtime, in addition to salary)

Annual Leave:

30 days (including bank holidays) - Up to a maximum of 35 days with length of service

Role Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

Planning Export Trailers

Planning multi-drop collection & delivery (C&D) vehicles to achieve on-time deliveries

Ensuring all customer collections are completed

Adjusting schedules to meet customer and network demands

Liaising with drivers and colleagues to maintain daily operational standards

Monitoring driver performance and reporting delays effectively

Troubleshooting live transport issues as they arise

Skills & Attributes Required:

Experience in transport planning for a UK based logistics company
Ability to manage and utilise people effectively

Good computer skills (full training on in-house systems provided)

Flexible approach to working hours

Ability to work under pressure in time-critical environments

Well-organised, detail-oriented, and strong problem-solving skills
