Salary: S5 £21,945, with the ability to increase to £24,184 dependant on skillset
Our client is seeking to appoint an IT Technician/Field Engineer responsible to assist in the support, management and maintenance of the Fullbrook IT network.
Although you will predominantly be working at Fullbrook School, you will need to be flexible in order to support IT requirements across their 7 schools.
The school environment is caring and friendly, with a strong sense of community, and the company are looking to add another IT Technician/Field Engineer able to support the staff and students across the school. Pupil numbers in school are approximately 1400, with an enthusiastic and dedicated team of staff supporting the school.
The company have network staff across their Multi Academy Trust (Guildford Education Partnership) with group communications and bi-annual meetings. This creates a community where they help each other resolve issues and work towards joint goals.
In addition to working in a small team at Fullbrook, the successful candidate will be directly supported by the service desk and development teams.
The role will have specific responsibilities:
- IT repair and maintenance
- Helpdesk & support requests
- Software installations and maintenance
- Assist with the backup systems
- Assist with maintaining physical and virtual servers
- Network security
- Assist with internet access and filtering
Experience with SIMS and VMware would be an advantage but training will be provided.
The person appointed may not necessarily be familiar with all the areas listed above, but a willingness to learn and be proactive is essential.
