Location: SouthamptonSalary: Circa £43,000 (days while training) rising to circa £53,000 (permanent nights)

About the RoleWe are seeking anelectrically biased Maintenance Technicianto join our manufacturing team in Southampton. This is a permanent night shift position, with initial training carried out on days. You will be responsible for electrical and mechanical maintenance across a wide range of production equipment, ensuring maximum uptime and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and breakdown repair on manufacturing equipment, with a focus on electrical systems.

• Diagnose and repair faults across electrical, automation, and control systems.

• Support mechanical maintenance when required.

• Work closely with production and engineering teams to minimise downtime.

• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing/production environment.

• Strong electrical bias with knowledge of control panels, motors, PLCs, and fault finding.

• Ability to assist with mechanical maintenance as needed.

• Willingness to work permanent nights following training.

• Flexible to complete initial training on day shifts.

• Strong problem-solving skills and commitment to safe working practices.
