Salary: £35000 - £40000/annum

A growing company that offers an essential service to all schools across the UK is looking for a Procurement Manager in Basingstoke. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is motivated and looking for a varied role. Reporting to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting their clients from initial bid qualification stage through to contract award and helping ensure that all tender deadlines are met.

As Procurement Manager, your responsibilities will include: 

Supporting the Tender and Compliance Officer in the production of professional, high quality and Public Contracts Regulations tender documentation
Assisting with producing Request for Proposal (RFP) documentation
Liaising with customers and suppliers via phone, email, or face to face, as required
Coordinating bid diaries/timeliness to ensure tender deadlines are met
Completing financial analysis of bid pricing
Attending on-site visits and bidder presentation days
Creating high standard, detailed but easy to understand post-project audit Reports for clients (based on existing templates)
Following up supplier references in a professional manner (where required)
Using and managing In-Tend e-procurement software
Consistently reviewing all precedent tender documentation to improve usability from both an internal and external prospective
Maintaining information held within the Infusionsoft CRM database
We are looking for a Procurement Manager who has the following skills and experiences:

Experience in a Procurement role/Buyer role
Knowledge of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (desirable)
Full driving licence as you will be required to travel to different sites
Expertise in bid evaluation and analysis
Experience of report writing and presenting
Use of In-Tend (or similar) e-procurement software (desirable, but not essential)
Ability to communicate and work effectively and professionally with the team, clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders
High degree of accuracy and exceptional attention to detail, along with the ability to work on own initiative
Ability to learn quickly and work with new processes and systems
Excellent personal organisational planning and management skills along with the ability to handle multiple projects at different stages of development simultaneously
