The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services are seeking to recruit an Advance Practitioner/Clinical Nurse Specialist to work within the North Yorkshire and York Eating Disorders CAMHS Team.

The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, motivated, and demonstrate a commitment to ongoing personal and professional development. The post holder will work with children, young people and their families (5 -18 years) with the principal objectives of providing assessment and evidence-based therapeutic interventions to the client group. The successful candidate will have responsibility for the effective management of a community caseload of children and young people referred to the service and the clinical leadership and development of other staff members. The successful applicant will take a lead on the delivery and review of interventions offered within our eating Disorders Service. They will also provide daily leadership and support to the team and offer clinical supervision as required.

Applicants should hold a professionally registered qualification (with NMC or HCPC) and have experience of working with children, young people and families. Applicants should be able to evidence contributing towards service development and improving services, as well as providing support to team members to ensure a service delivers high quality outcomes for it's client group.

This is also an opportunity for a registered professional to take a seconded role to the post. Applicants must ensure that prior to applying they have agreement from their current line manager that they can be released on a secondment basis.
