Our client are continuing to expand and we are currently seeking an experienced Transport Planner to join their day shift team. This is a great opportunity to secure a stable role with excellent development prospects in a supportive working environment. You will help ensure the smooth running of our transport operation for a major client and recognised brand.

Role Responsibilities:

Planning of allocated pool of trucks and drivers.
Maintaining sufficient trailer availability to deliver the plan.
Maximise vehicle utilisation.
Close working relationship with allocated drivers.
Liaison with operations team.
Coordination with wider planning team to ensure all jobs are covered and customers satisfied.
Coordination with commercial team to ensure jobs are completed and invoiced correctly.

Key Skills

CPC National or International
Organised and process driven.
Quick, logical thinker with the ability to manage change and conflicting priorities.
Professional approach.
Team working.
Capable of professional written and verbal communication.
Intermediate IT skills.
Understanding of the rules governing driver working hours.
Knowledge of the transport industry and complete Explore offering.
Understanding of general business processes relating to the industry.
