Location: Telford, Shropshire
Salary: £35,000 - 40,000
Contract: Full time, on-site

Are you an experienced accounts professional looking to take the next step in your career? A local accountancy practice in Telford is seeking a talented Accounts Senior to join the team.

About the Role

As an Accounts Senior, you will take ownership of a portfolio of clients across a variety of sectors, providing high-quality compliance and advisory services. You will play a key role in reviewing work prepared by junior staff, supporting their development, and ensuring deadlines are met to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.

*

Reviewing accounts and tax returns prepared by junior team members.

*

Preparing corporate and personal tax computations.

*

Acting as a key point of contact for clients, delivering proactive advice.

*

Supporting and mentoring junior staff.

*

Liaising with HMRC and other external stakeholders.

About You

*

Minimum 5 years' experience working within an accountancy practice.

*

ACA/ACCA qualified (or qualified by experience).

*

Strong technical knowledge of accounts preparation and tax compliance.

*

Excellent communication and client relationship skills.

*

Ability to manage workloads, deadlines, and review work effectively.

*

Experience with cloud-based accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks) desirable.
