About the Role:Prospero Teaching are seeking a committed and supportive SEND Teaching Assistant to work within a friendly primary school in Maghull. The school provides excellent provision for pupils with additional needs and is looking for a TA who can offer consistency, patience and high-quality support.

You will support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs, such as Autism, ADHD, Speech and Language difficulties, or Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The role includes both one-to-one support and small group interventions, helping pupils engage with learning, regulate their emotions and develop essential skills.

Responsibilities:

• Support pupils with SEND in a primary school environment

• Work closely with the class teacher to deliver adapted learning

• Implement strategies from EHCPs and individual behaviour plans

• Encourage independence, confidence and positive routines

• Promote emotional wellbeing and strong communication skills

• Maintain a safe, calm and inclusive learning space

Essential Requirements:

• Experience supporting children with SEND

• A patient, nurturing and flexible approach

• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills

• Relevant qualifications (desirable but not essential)

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
