📍 Location: Middlesbrough TS9
🕒 Working Pattern: Full Time, 37.5 hours (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Mon to Fri)
💷 Rate of Pay: £15.71 per hour, increasing to £16.21 per hour

What You'll Do:

As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records. Your key responsibilities will include:

📊 Bookkeeping & Financial Records Management: Keep up-to-date financial records and ensure compliance with accepted standards.
💌 Invoice Processing: Create, track, and process invoices, receipts, and purchase orders.
🏦 Accounts Payable & Receivable: Record and process transactions while consulting with customers and suppliers.
🔄 Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank and ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
📈 Financial Reporting: Support the preparation of financial statements and reports using SAGE 50 software and Microsoft Excel.
📚 General Administration: Assist with office admin and provide support for recruitment administration procedures and payroll as needed.

Who We're Looking For:

To thrive in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

✅ Qualifications:

5 GCSEs (including Maths, English, and IT)
Level 2 Certificate in Bookkeeping or Accounting OR equivalent work experience
A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Maths is a plus (not essential)
AAT qualification or equivalent✅ Experience:

1-2 years in accounts payable and receivable
Proficient in SAGE 50 and Microsoft Office
Experience in managing and updating financial records✅ Skills:

Strong analytical skills combined with attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
