Lovely and friendly University based In north London. Due to new investment and internal promotions, they are now looking to recruit a highly focused, driven Maintenance Supervisor to lead the team. My client has stated that they would consider Maintenance Engineers who are looking to make that next step into a supervisor position.

Description

You will need to be multi-skilled, and you will be managing a team of 5 maintenance operatives under you.

You will organise and control all plant maintenance activities to ensure plant reliability, a safe place of work and an orderly and well-maintained environment.
You will ensure all plant on site is regularly maintained through management of resources by use of Planned Maintenance on SAP.
Provide defect maintenance service which will ensure that faulty plant and equipment will be rectified as quickly as possible.
Maintain safe working practices, including strict control of Permit to Work system thereby ensuring that internal maintenance team and 3rd party contractors carry out work in a safe manner.
Control of costs to the maintenance budget and maximise productivity through supervision of the workforce.
Involvement in accident investigation and reporting to maximise knowledge of causes and therefore enhance ability to prevent recurrence.
Engage and control of contractors for mechanical, instrument, electrical and civil work without scope of internal maintenance team.Profile

Requirements include:

City & Guilds equivalent time served in Mechanical, Electrical or Instrument disciplines.
Experience of man-management and good communication skills.
Needs to have experience with mechanical and some electrical
Some experience of industrial plant maintenance.
Knowledge of relevant computer systems.Job Offer
