Leading a team, the Senior Finance Manager will oversee financial operations for an MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) facility, ensuring accurate reporting, regulatory compliance, and cost-efficient financial management. This role is pivotal in managing the financial complexities of MRO operations, including inventory, labour costs, and compliance with aviation industry standards.
Responsibilities:
Financial Management & Reporting:
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with operational goals and strategic objectives.
- Provide financial performance insights, including detailed analysis of maintenance costs, inventory, and labour efficiency.
- Prepare and oversee timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Consolidate financial data across MRO operations, including maintenance activities and facility performance.
Regulatory Compliance & Internal Controls:
- Ensure compliance with aviation industry financial regulations, including Part 145 requirements.
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls to safeguard company assets and optimize financial accuracy.
- Collaborate with external auditors to ensure smooth audit processes and compliance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
Operational Oversight:
- Oversee cost management related to spare parts, tooling, and workforce allocation.
- Monitor cash flow to ensure operational readiness for maintenance schedules and customer commitments.
- Drive process improvements to enhance financial operations, focusing on efficiency and cost reduction.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals who are dedicated to supporting the maintenance function globally.
- Ensure the development of finance staff, promoting best practices and knowledge sharing across entities.
Required profile:
- ACA, CIMA or, ACCA qualified
- 6+ years of experience in finance roles, with at least 3+ years in an MRO capacity supporting operational functions (maintenance, engineering, or similar).
- Strong experience working in a multi-entity, global organization with a complex regulatory environment.
- Proven track record in managing financial performance for large-scale, capital-intensive operations such as maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) or industrial operations.
- Familiarity with regulatory and financial reporting requirements for MRO facilities.
- You enjoy working in a highly pressured, dynamic, entrepreneurial environment, keen to engage as required by a growing business.
- Proven track record of leading large, cross-functional, and geographically dispersed teams.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior leadership and global teams.
