Are you passionate about supporting young people with special educational needs? 

Teaching personnel is working in partnership with a Special Educational Needs School & Community College in Salford to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a well-respected specialist setting, supporting students aged 11-19 with a range of complex learning needs. 

Roles & Responsibilities: 

Provide 1:1 & small group support to students with additional needs including autism, speech & language difficulties, and physical disabilities 

Contribute to classroom management & school activities 

Assist with the delivery of tailored learning programmes  

Provide intervention support when needed 

Assisting pupils with communication between peers and staff 

Ideal Candidate: 

Experience working with children / young adults with SEND is desirable  

Confident, compassionate & proactive with excellent interpersonal skills 

Comfortable with providing personal care  

Confidence in supporting instances of challenging behaviour 

A DBS on the update service (or willing to apply for one through Teaching Personnel) 

MUST be available between 08:30- 15:30, Monday to Friday 

Successful applicants will be subject to standard vetting checks, including two school / education-based references & a DBS. 

Applicants must be able to provide an Overseas Police Check if applicant has been outside the UK for more than 6 months in the past 5 years.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
