This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who enjoys leading teams, improving processes and ensuring the smooth running of planning and logistics operations within a busy manufacturing environment.

Previous experience within a manufacturing background is essential to be considered for the role. The role is in the perfect location for candidates based in Ilkeston, Stanton by dale, Trowell and the surrounding areas. It is essential that you are able to drive to be considered for the role.What we’re looking for:

• Oversee daily planning and logistics operations to ensure smooth and efficient delivery of products.
• Develop and manage production and transport schedules, ensuring customer deadlines are consistently met.
• Manage and lead the logistics and planning team, providing clear direction, support and development opportunities.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production, purchasing, and warehouse teams to maintain optimal stock levels.
• Liaise with suppliers, transport providers, and internal teams to resolve any delivery or scheduling issues.
• Analyse logistics data to identify areas for improvement, cost savings, and process optimisation.
• Ensure full compliance with health & safety, legal, and regulatory requirements across logistics and transport activities.
• Develop and implement continuous improvement strategies across planning and logistics functions.
• Produce regular reports on performance, KPIs, and operational metrics.
• Act as a key point of contact for cross-functional teams to support overall business operations.
