Due to continued success and expansion of the business, we have invested in building a modern inhouse showroom at our Head Office which will allow us to showcase our products and NPD services to leading retail Head Office Buyers. The showroom is due to be opened in July 2025. The role of Showroom Manager is to oversee the set-up of planograms, POS and housekeeping of the showroom area as well as creating the most attractive of visual merchandising.
Role and responsibilities
- Creating and organising specific showrooms and signage for individual customers so they can visualise how are products will look in their stores
- Liaise with NPD, Design and Sales Teams to create the "brand and product message" for customers
- Colour coding and batching similar and related products to encourage sales
- Ensuring that the showroom is always maintained at the highest levels, making sure all packaging is displayed correctly, the quality of the packaging is to standard and that all new ranges are on display at the point they are ready for launch, replacing any damaged or opened packaging immediately
- Liaising with sales and new product departments on new and discontinued stock; updating showroom with new products and removing old stock
- Management of showroom meeting room, replenishing tea coffee etc and organising buffet lunches etc
- Hosting of visitors, accompanying them around the showroom, working with sales team to explain and discuss products
- Turning around showrooms to tight deadlines to accommodate different customer and different sales requirements
- Cleaning, tidying and replenishment of fixtures as soon as visit is over
- Creation of customer gift / sample bags, pre packed and ready to go
- Managing the inventory of downstairs stock room as the two functions are intrinsically linked
- Working with Marketing / Design to help improve layout and content of QPC global tradeshow programme
- Retail price analysis which will include regular store visits to UK retail stores to survey the skincare fixture , note competitor activity, promotions, new products, new brands, new categories, note retail prices and report back monthly. As above for selected international retailers but mainly via internet research
Skills and Experience required
- Experience in store/showroom visual merchandising, with demonstrable experience of creating beautiful and elegant product stories that entice and enhance the customer buying experience
- An understanding of colour, product layout, POS, shelving, display, an exceptional eye for detail, with the knowledge of countertop displays etc
- A professional who takes real pride in their work
- Highly organised and able to work to fast paced deadlines at short notice
- A real passion for design layout, creative whilst being able to plan and problem solve
- Have exceptional relationship building skills to liaise with senior level customers
- Ability to learn new products and gain a real understanding of products attributes, formulas etc to be able to explain product
- Happy to organise refreshments, arrange lunches and lay out of same
