TristoneNash are supporting a large housing provider in their search for a Head of Asset Investment and Financial Planning. The position heavily focussed on the financial/equity and investment planning side. Moving across in the longer more to the regen, rationalisation and treasury focused side of the team.

Job role:

Oversee the delivery of the Asset Management Strategy assuming responsibility for the management of the 5-year and 30-year financial plan which will include oversight and management of all associated data requirements, including stock and EPC programmes, in line with Board approved targets.

Lead on strategic investment planning and stock interventions across all assets.

Responsible for ensuring the long term investment plans represent value for money and continue to improve the quality of existing homes.

Lead on stock planning for EPC Band C and carbon net zero programmes of work.

Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver a data intelligence strategy which maximises the benefits associated with Internet of Things (IOT) technologies, and dynamic data collection through existing interactions with our homes.

Accountable for the development and delivery of annual and five year planned maintenance programmes. Ensuring investment programmes reflect the ambitions within the Asset Management Strategy and responding appropriately to regional investment priorities.

Ensure that leasehold interests are considered when planning investments and timescales, including time allowances for Section 20 consultation to ensure the full recovery of leasehold costs as and when applicable.

Partner with Treasury Team to ensure that investment programmes are in line with financial metrics.

Maintain 100% decent homes compliance, with appropriate monitoring of stock performance.

Lead on implications and implementation of Decent Homes 2 standard.

Lead the development of asset standards, ensuring this continues to future proof existing homes through our investment programmes.

Ensure that major asset projects are assessed for viability and correctly approved through the governance structure.

Support the development and implementation of GIS software. Ensure the software adopts to manage portfolio considerations remains suitable and where relevant support integration requirements.

Ensure that the objectives and asset strategy are understood across the business by creating and embedding a business partner approach.

Provide clear and effective leadership to the Strategic Asset Management team.

Experience required:

Proven substantive experience in asset management database management.

Carbon literate, with sound proven knowledge environmental and sustainability practices relating to retrofit.

Demonstrable experience in asset management and asset optimisation with the ability to lead and manage both investment programmes and stock assessments.

Ability to produce and display complex information and data including complex business plan multi-year budgets simply to clearly articulate and share knowledge with various audiences, including external stakeholders.

Proven experience of supporting and leading a small team within a senior leadership role, demonstrating credibility, strong influencing and communication skills, personal drive and ambition to make a difference.

Proven experience and a pro-active approach to leading innovation and change projects, embedding a sustainability strategy across the business.

Able to demonstrate analytical skills, decision-making, intellectual curiosity, intellectual honesty, pro-active and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Proven experience of building relationships and managing multi-stakeholder relationships along with the ability to influence, negotiate, generate confidence, trust and respect whilst working strategically across a large organisation.

Proficient in Microsoft Office packages including Outlook, Word and Excel, as well as the ability to build and operate spreadsheets and database to provide “real time” data.

Full driving licence and/or ability to travel in a timely and efficient manner to attend meetings and events in areas not covered by public transport.
