Elevation Recruitment are working on behalf of a Bradford-based manufacturing business to recruit a CNC Machinist to join their team.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced CNC professional looking to join a well-established precision engineering environment. The role plays an important part in supporting production by ensuring components are manufactured accurately, safely and in line with technical drawings and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Set and operate CNC machines, including lathes and milling machines.
  • Produce precision components in line with engineering drawings and specifications
  • Make minor edits to machining programs using Fanuc controls where necessary to maintain quality and productivity
  • Read and interpret detailed technical drawings
  • Carry out in-process inspection using a range of measuring equipment and CMM where required
  • Work to production schedules and meet deadlines within a fast-paced environment
  • Follow all health and safety procedures and report any potential risks
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping within the work area

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Engineering or Manufacturing, or higher
  • Previous experience working within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment
  • Experience setting and operating CNC lathes and Milling Machines
  • Familiarity with Fanuc control systems
  • Ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Experience using manual measuring equipment and inspection tools, with CMM knowledge advantageous
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Positive attitude with good communication skills
  • A proactive approach and willingness to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
