We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Building Services Engineer to join my client's facilities team on a large commercial estate in the heart of West London. This is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours per week, from 0800 to 1700, Mon to Fri.
The role:
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor
To provide technical engineering support within the Hard FM Services department by carrying out preventative maintenance to deadline plus maintain paperwork to support PPM activities
To respond to reactive and emergency faults and conduct reactive maintenance work to ensure compliance with KPI's
To manage sub-contractors as necessary working to a safe system of work and permit-to-work system
To undertake AP/RP duties for the disciplines for which you have been appointed
Working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday with a requirement to participate in the out of hours on call rota and be able to respond/attend site within one hour of the call
The person:
Must hold a recognised mechanical trade apprenticeship and/or relevant qualifications to level 3 (theory and practice) in a relevant mechanical discipline with suitable industry experience; AP in HV desirable
Previous supervisory and mentoring experience essential
Experience in building services maintenance is essential
Willingness to attain cross skilling and IT Literate
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Demonstrate good planning, organising and prioritising skills
Ability to show examples of using initiative and judgement to resolve problems
Experience in a Healthcare environment an advantage
