Looking to build on your practice experience with a team that’s supportive, professional, and genuinely values what you bring to the table? We’re recruiting for a well-established firm that supports a range of clients across the UK, and they’re looking to add an Accounts Semi Senior to their growing team in Lancaster.

You’ll be joining a friendly, close-knit bunch who work with sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, offering a full range of services - from accounts and tax returns to VAT and payroll. This is a varied role where no two days are the same, and there’s plenty of scope to keep learning and progressing.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Preparing accounts for final review (sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies)

  • Completing VAT returns, tax returns (Self-Assessment & Corporation Tax), and bank reconciliations

  • Using your knowledge to provide clients with basic tax advice and support

  • Communicating with HMRC and handling queries efficiently

  • Supporting junior team members and contributing to a positive, collaborative culture

What we’re looking for:

  • Someone studying towards AAT / ACA / ACCA (or already qualified)

  • Previous experience within a practice environment

  • A confident communicator who enjoys dealing with clients

  • A solid grasp of accounting software and Excel

  • Enthusiastic, organised, and keen to keep developing your skills
