SEN Teacher Opportunity - Waltham Forest

Start Date: January 2025
Salary: £145 to £230 per day (dependent on experience)

Are you passionate about supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) and helping them achieve their full potential? Join GSL Education as a SEN Teacher in Waltham Forest! We are seeking a dedicated and experienced teacher to work in a specialised educational setting, supporting students with a range of learning needs.

About the Role:

As a SEN Teacher, you will:

Plan and deliver tailored lessons that meet the unique learning needs of each student, ensuring they can access the curriculum and make academic progress.
Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with other professionals to support each student's development.
Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes emotional well-being and social development alongside academic success.
Work closely with teaching assistants and other support staff to provide comprehensive support to students.
Implement effective behaviour management strategies to create a safe and supportive learning environment.

Requirements:

Experience working with students with SEN in an educational setting.
Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, staff, and parents.
A commitment to supporting students with additional needs and creating an inclusive learning environment.
Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection, with all successful applicants required to complete background checks, including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
