Design Manager

JOB TYPE: Permanent, FullTime

SALARY: Excellent Salary + Car / Car Allowance

Our Design Manager will be responsible for the management of the design process for high rise build to rent ; You will design proposals from internal and external consultants, ensuring the most competitive and effective solutions are provided.
Mentoring the Assistant Design Manager, you will attend internal and external meetings and support the Procurement department in the evaluation of alternative design solutions offered by sub-contractors.
Reviewing design drawings in accordance with Building Regulations, you will also research and develop new products for alternative forms of construction and occasionally advise on estimating schemes.
About You This role demands and individual who is educated to a level of NVQ Level 4, Degree, HND or HNC and who has significant experience in the construction industry to include working for a main contractor constructing high rise buildings.
With strong time management and communication skills, you will have extensive knowledge of Building Regulations, Codes of Practice, BREEAM and Wired Score and have basic knowledge of AutoCAD/Revit design software.
