Job Title: Senior Mechanical Estimator

Location: Liverpool or Leeds
Salary: £65K - £75K DOE + Package

The Role:

Lead mechanical tenders from initial enquiry to final submission

Prepare accurate cost estimates across commercial, healthcare, and residential sectors

*

Coordinate bid processes with internal teams and external partners

*

Attend pre- and post-tender meetings to represent the business

*

Ensure technical and commercial compliance in all estimates

*

Liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to gather pricing data

*

Maintain and improve internal cost databases and estimating tools

*

Collaborate with directors to secure profitable contracts

*

Contribute to continuous improvement of bid strategy and delivery

The Ideal Candidate:

3-5+ years' experience in mechanical estimating or bid management

*

Strong understanding of HVAC, pipework, and mechanical systems

*

Skilled at reading drawings and interpreting project specifications

*

Commercially minded with strong negotiation skills

*

Proficient in estimating software and Excel

*

Organised, accurate, and comfortable working to tight deadlines

*

Excellent communicator with strong client-facing skills
