My client is a well-established and growing accountancy practice, providing tailored accounting and tax services to small and medium-sized businesses, sole traders, and individuals.

They are now seeking a Part-Time Accountant to join their friendly team based in Chesham, offering hybrid working and flexible hours.

This is a permanent, part-time role (20-25 hours per week), ideal for someone looking to balance work with other commitments.

The Role

You will manage your own portfolio of clients and provide high-quality accounting and tax support across a range of services.
Key responsibilities:

• Managing a portfolio of SME and individual clients
• Preparing year-end accounts, VAT returns, and self-assessment tax returns
• Acting as the main point of contact for client queries
• Supporting clients with business and software guidance
• Ensuring compliance with UK accounting standards and deadlines
• Working closely with the wider team to deliver excellent client service

Requirements:

• AAT qualified, ACCA part-qualified/qualified, or QBE
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a UK accountancy practice
• Confident managing your own client portfolio
• Strong communication and client-facing skills
• Comfortable working in a small, supportive team
