We’re excited to be working with John Taylor Multi-Academy Trust to recruit enthusiastic and reliable Cover Teachers for schools in Burton-on-Trent. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference in local students' education while enjoying the flexibility of a varied role.

About the Role:As a Cover Teacher, you will:

• Lead whole classes in the absence of their regular teacher, ensuring students remain engaged with set work

• Create a positive and focused learning environment, managing the classroom effectively

• Support students with lesson content, ensuring learning goals are achieved

• Confidently manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies

• Communicate any issues or concerns to relevant school staff

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience working with young people, ideally in an educational or youth-focused role

• Strong classroom management and communication skills

• Confidence to deliver lessons across a variety of subjects

• A positive, proactive attitude with a genuine passion for supporting student learning

• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
