The Business Analyst position is responsible for evaluating business requirements and assisting in delivering new or enhanced software systems and integration solutions. The candidate will participate in andor manage projects that translate business needs into new products, services and profits, requiring an intermediate level of analysis and problem solving skills, while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Lead discovery meetings with Subject Matter Experts to document business processes and functional requirements, develop detailed specifications, flowchart diagrams, etc. Provide high-quality process and analysis to understand requirements and ensure that the Company utilizes available technology to its maximum potential. Analyze functional requirements and develop Functional Requirement specifications, prototypes, User Stories, Use Cases and Quality Assurance Test Scripts. Participate in a scrum team, maintain product back-logs, and ensure user stories are well documented and understood by the team. Support the scrum team throughout the sprint lifecycle. Review the effectiveness and efficiency of existing processes and systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging them. Conduct Quality Assurance testing analyze and resolve testing issues. Maintain continuous communication with Applications Development Teams throughout the development lifecycle to ensure final deliverables meet established requirements and expected outcomes. Provide orientation and training to end users for new and modified system releases when needed. Development of end user manuals and instructional documentation when required. Skill SetCore Competencies Requires excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both functional and technical personnel. Thorough understanding of business processes and a firm grasp of business software capabilities and Software Development Life Cycle methodology. Experience with Agile and Scrum teams a plus. Strong ability to interpret internal customers business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements. Able to develop relationships with internal customer base and advocate on their behalf. Excellent critical thinking and analysis skill set within an enterprise environment. Results-Oriented with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint). Conceptual familiarity with object-oriented programming and relational databases. Ability to successfully handle many diverse projects simultaneously. Comfortable working with management and staff in a collaborative team environment. Must thrive in a fast paced, invigorating team environment, and be able to work both individually and as member of a cross-functional multi-DepartmentDivision project team.
