W Talent is proud to partner with a leading heavy industry organisation to recruit a Health and Safety Advisor to support operations across multiple UK sites. This is a hybrid role combining home-based working with regular travel to six operational sites. The ideal candidate will be located within a reasonable distance of Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Leicester, or Sheffield to enable efficient travel across the business.

About the Role

Reporting to the Group Health and Safety Manager located in Nottinghamshire, the Health and Safety Advisor will be responsible for supporting site leadership teams in the consistent application and improvement of the company's health and safety systems. You'll play a key role in promoting a culture of safety and ensuring compliance with legislation and company policies across all operational sites.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Group H&S Manager to deliver consistent health and safety improvements across the business.
Regularly visit six UK sites to provide expert support on embedding an interdependent safety culture.
Implementation of health and safety policies and procedures.
Risk assessments and safe systems of work.
Internal audits and site inspections, including follow-up actions.
Incident investigations and root cause analysis.
Delivery of H&S training and refresher sessions.
Monitoring and reporting on health and safety KPIs.
Conducting ISO 45001 audits and supporting project-specific safety requirements.
Act as a point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders on health and safety matters.

Key Skills & Experience

Located within a reasonable distance of Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Leicester, or Sheffield to enable efficient travel across the business.
NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent) is essential.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in a health and safety role, ideally within building materials, manufacturing, or heavy industry.
Strong working knowledge of UK health and safety legislation.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications.
Full UK driving licence required.

Salary & Benefits Package

The role offers a competitive salary of £40,000 - £45,000, dependent on experience, along with a £650 monthly car allowance. This is a hybrid position, combining home-based work with regular travel to company sites, and includes flexible working hours to support work-life balance.
