Well-established building contractor based in Croydon, specialising in high-quality refurbishment projects across central London up to £50m in value are seeking a skilled Estimator to join their team

This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in pricing refurbishment works who can accurately assess costs and contribute to the successful tendering of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for refurbishment projects, including labour, materials, and timeframes.

Analyse drawings, specifications, and project documents to prepare competitive tenders.

*

Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather necessary pricing information.

*

Assist in value engineering and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.

*

Work closely with the project management team to ensure budget alignment through all project phases.

*

Maintain and develop a database of pricing information and cost benchmarks.

Requirements:

Proven experience as an estimator in the construction industry, ideally with a focus on refurbishment projects.

Strong knowledge of building methods, materials, and regulations.

Proficient in estimating software.

*

Excellent analytical and numerical skills with high attention to detail.

Strong communication and negotiation abilities.

Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines simultaneously.
