Accountant Role

Location: Portsmouth (5x days in the office)

Salary: £28,000 - £34,000

Practice Experience Preferred, AAT Level 4 Essential

Our client is a friendly and forward-thinking accountancy practice based in Portsmouth, and we're looking for a motivated Accounts professional to join their growing team.

Requirements:

AAT Level 4 qualification (essential)
ATT or similar tax qualification (ideal)
Strong practice experience
Comfortable managing your own client portfolio
Excellent communication skills and a team player mindset
Willingness to learn, adapt, and contribute to the growth of the firm
Experience reviewing junior team member's work is a bonus

Responsibilities:

Preparing sole trader and partnership accounts and tax returns
Preparing Ltd company accounts and tax returns (FRS105 and FRS102 S1a)
Filing VAT and CIS returns
Managing client queries by phone, email, and meetings
Reviewing junior staff work and drafting year-end client letters
