Our client, a consultancy in water infrastructure solutions, is currently seeking a Design Manager to join their team in Manchester on a contract basis. This role is pivotal in driving civil engineering projects within the water sector, ensuring efficient and innovative designs are delivered to meet client needs and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Overseeing the design process from conception to completion for water infrastructure projects
Ensuring all designs align with client specifications, regulatory requirements, and industry standards
Coordinating with cross-functional teams including engineers, project managers, and stakeholders
Reviewing and approving design documents, drawings, and specifications
Managing project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively
Leading design team meetings and providing technical guidance
Implementing design best practices and driving continuous improvement
Maintaining strong client relationships through excellent communication and project delivery

Job Requirements:

Extensive experience in civil engineering design, particularly within the water sector
Proven leadership and project management skills
Strong understanding of industry standards, regulations, and compliance
Proficiency in relevant design software and tools
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines concurrently
Relevant civil engineering degree or equivalent qualification
