Fire Damper Tester & Remedials Engineer 🔧

Location: Various sites across the UK - primarily in commercial buildings & social housing blocks

About the Role:

We're looking for an experienced Fire Damper Tester & Remedials Engineer to join a forward-thinking, independent fire protection company. You'll be working across a range of sites including commercial buildings and multi-occupancy residential (social housing) blocks, carrying out testing, inspections and remedial works on all types of fire dampers and associated HVAC systems.

This role suits someone who takes pride in their work, has a strong understanding of fire safety compliance, and is looking to grow within a supportive and culture-conscious team.

Key Responsibilities:

* Perform fire damper testing to BS 9999 standards

* Carry out remedial works following test reports and compliance requirements

* Inspect, maintain and repair various HVAC systems

* Accurately complete job sheets and reports via tablet-based software

* Work both independently and as part of a wider fire protection team

* Communicate professionally with clients and site contacts

* Occasionally work away from home - modern, fully paid Airbnbs provided

Requirements:

* Proven experience working with fire dampers and HVAC systems

* Knowledge of relevant fire safety regulations (BS 9999, TR19, etc.)

* Comfortable working in commercial and residential environments

* Full, clean UK driving licence

* Able to work some nights away when required (accommodation fully covered)

* Good communication skills and a team-player mindset
