Teaching Assistant - Primary School - Sefton (Start ASAP)

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding new role in a welcoming Sefton primary school? We're currently seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic TA who can start as soon as possible and make a real impact in the classroom.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children's learning, confident working across EYFS, KS1 or KS2, and eager to join a supportive school environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting teaching and learning across the primary age range
• Working closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons
• Providing 1:1 or small-group support when required
• Assisting with classroom management and pupil engagement
• Helping create a positive, inclusive learning environment
• Supporting pupils with additional needs as needed

Experience & QualificationsEssential:

• Previous experience working in a primary school or educational setting
• Strong understanding of safeguarding and behaviour expectations
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff

Desirable:

• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
• Experience supporting SEND pupils
• Additional training such as First Aid, Autism Awareness, Team Teach etc.
