Multi-Trade Operative
📍 Location: Westminster

We are seeking an experienced and versatile Multi-Trade Operative to join our team, delivering high-quality building repairs and maintenance services across our housing sites in Westminster.

Key Responsibilities

*

Carry out multi-trade repairs (carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling, decorating etc.) across a variety of properties.

*

Deliver excellent customer service when working in residents' homes.

*

Ensure all works are completed to agreed timescales, cost-effectively and to a high standard.

*

Use mobile technology to receive, record, and complete job instructions.

*

Work collaboratively with colleagues, contractors, and supervisors to resolve issues and complete works.

*

Adhere to all health & safety policies and safe working practices.

*

Take part in out-of-hours rota and occasional evening/weekend work where required.

About You

We're looking for a proactive and skilled operative with a strong track record in building repairs and maintenance. You should be comfortable working across different trades and confident engaging directly with residents in their homes.

Essential Requirements:

*

NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in a building trade.

*

Experience of multi-trade repairs in occupied and void properties.

*

Good knowledge of health & safety practices.

*

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

*

Ability to manage your workload independently and meet deadlines.

Desirable:

*

NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a building trade.

*

Asbestos Awareness, PASMA, or Cat Scan training.

*

Experience in “Decent Homes” kitchen and bathroom works.
