Quinton Davies is pleased to announce that we have an amazing opportunity for a Company Accountant for a leading Fuels and Lubricants Distribution Business, based in Caldicot, South Wales. Who specialise in supplying a diverse portfolio of products to most market sectors, in a fast paced, rapidly evolving, and exciting industry.

The business continues to grow year on year and so they continue to evolve their systems, processes, supply chain, controls and logistics to manage this - their people are a key part of this growth, control and success.

They are looking for a Company Accountant to join the team to drive the business forward Reporting to the Managing Director, this role is an integral part of the Finance and, a key function for the business.

Responsibilities

  • Bank Reconciliation

  • Managing Sage system

  • Complete quarterly management accounts

  • Raising sales invoices and statements

  • Managing customer credit Insurance and working with Credit Insurers

  • Provide detailed, timely and accurate financial reports (Cashflow, Balance Sheet, Fixed Assets, Profit and Loss, Trial Balance and other necessary ad-hoc financial reports)

  • Overseeing the Accounts Payable function and authorising payments

  • Manage the accounting system to ensure consistency, accurate entry, and accurate reporting of all accounts

  • Process Payroll & Benefits monthly

  • Preparing and submitting VAT Quarterly

  • Ensure consistency of existing accounting systems through creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards and procedures

  • Preparing and processing month end journals, accruals, prepayments and stock journal

Experience

  • Qualified Accountant or minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role (QBE, ACA, ACCA)
  • Intermediate knowledge of other common software applications (Microsoft Office, Excel)
  • Sage Payroll experience
  • Experience of implementing and improving systems and processes
  • Highly motivated to drive change and improve standards, control and processes across the company
  • Passionate, driven and confident communicator at all levels
