We are seeking a dedicated Humanities Teacher for a term-long position starting in September at a well-regarded educational institution in Reading. This role is ideal for someone passionate about delivering high-quality education in humanities subjects and fostering a positive learning environment for all students.
Day-to-day of the role: - Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences in humanities subjects.
- Develop schemes of work and lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives.
- Facilitate learning by establishing a relationship with students and organising learning resources and the classroom environment.
- Assess and record students' progress and provide grades and feedback.
- Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the institution.
- Participate in departmental and school meetings, parent meetings, and whole school training events.
- Stay updated on pedagogical methods and actively engage in professional development activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications: - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Degree in Humanities or a closely related subject.
- Proven experience as a Humanities Teacher.
- Thorough knowledge of teaching best practices and legal educational guidelines partnered with a willingness to follow the school’s policies and procedures.
- Excellent communicability and interpersonal skills.
- Well-organised and committed.
