Business Development Manager Role Overview
As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities across multiple freight channels. You will build strong relationships with prospective clients, deliver tailored solutions, and work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery. This role is ideal for a dynamic and motivated sales professional with a solid background in freight forwarding.

Business Development Manager Key Responsibilities

Proactively identify and target new business opportunities across air, sea, and road freight
Develop and manage a strong sales pipeline, ensuring consistent prospecting and follow-up
Conduct client meetings, presentations, and solution-focused discussions to understand customer needs
Prepare and deliver competitive quotations, tender responses, and service proposals
Negotiate rates and commercial terms in line with company guidelines
Collaborate with operations, customer service, and management teams to ensure successful onboarding of new clients
Maintain accurate records within the CRM system, including sales activity and forecasting
Represent the company at meetings and networking opportunities
Achieve monthly and annual revenue targetsBusiness Development Manager Skills & Experience Required

Proven track record in business development or field sales within freight forwarding or logistics (essential)
Strong knowledge of air, sea, and/or road freight operations and pricing
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
Ability to build long-term commercial relationships and influence key decision-makers
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Benefits
