My leading Tier 2 Automotive supplier are looking to expand due to growth and looking for a Quality Engineer to join their team. Operating from multiple facilities in the West Midlands, they have built a strong reputation for quality and reliability.

Duties:-

* Ensure Quality control and Quality assurance for high volume

* Review & Analyse Non-Conforming Product (NCP) on a Daily Basis.

* Lead the operations team in root cause analysis and continual improvement techniques.

* Management of QMS and drive towards new standards IATF and ISO 14001

* Using quality tools to drive continuous improvement to the business.

* Assist in NPI & APQP documentation as required, including PPAP documentation

* Quality management of customer and suppliers

* Lead site auditing, systems, process and product

* Lead customer and external audits

Key Skills:-

* Management of small teams in a manufacturing environment

* Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications

* Sound understanding of inspection techniques.

* Knowledge of the ISO 9001 quality policies and system requirements.

* Knowledge of IATF (essential) & VDA 6.3 audit policies & procedure requirements

* Knowledge of health & safety and environmental procedures

* Must have experience in Quality Engineering in an Automotive Environment

* Initiative and problem-solving abilities

* Good communication and time management skills

* Customer focused

* Conversant with Microsoft systems such as outlook, word & excel etc
